Reflection of the influence of epistemic presuppositions such as theological, jurisprudential, political and social presuppositions on the views and writings of Muslim scholars, especially exegetes, can be clearly pursued. Muhammad Tahir b. Ashur Faghih, a commentator and social theorist in Tunisia, is the author of the commentary on al-Tahrir wa al-Tanweir, which is one of the most important contemporary interpretations for its scientific comprehensiveness and exquisite way of dealing with problems. The main problem of this research is addressing the cognitive assumptions of the interpreter and rereading the effect of these assumptions on his interpretative theories. Epistemic presuppositions play a very prominent role in this interpretation and show off in multiple positions. Attachment to the Salaf method along with regard to religious reform and avoiding dogma in discordant issues is the dominant in this book which is in different positions of belief, jurisprudential, social, etc. is visible. In this research, which is "fundamental" in nature and has been developed with a descriptive-analytical approach and using library resources, first 22 verses of the place of disagreement have been selected religiously, jurisprudentially, politically, and socially, and then the interpretive views of the interpreter under those verses have been analyzed and processed. As a result, after the final analysis, it was found that the interpreter did not adhere to any of the religious and juridical schools completely, and because of his avoidance of dogmatic thinking and also relying on reformist ideas, in different positions, his views and opinions inclined to different religions and schools.
