The policy of approximating religions, which is somehow rooted in religious tolerance, became particularly popular during the Timurid era, including Sultan Hossein Bayqra, the last powerful ruler of this dynasty (873-911 AH). By creating a kind of brotherhood between the official religion of the society, i.e. Sunnis and Shiites, he consolidates the foundations of her government and establishes a kind of unity between the followers of these two religions. According to this issue, in this research, an attempt is made to analyze the role of Sultan Hossein Bayqra in the approximation of the two Shia and Sunni religions, using the descriptive-analytical method and using library sources, the consequences and results of It should also be mentioned. In addition to Sultan Hossein's beliefs and personality traits, the social and cultural conditions governing the society and the presence of free-thinking thinkers in his court played an effective role in the implementation of this policy. The Sultan and his like-minded people understood very well that in the intellectual discourse that governs the society, in order to achieve a powerful government, they can no longer rely on the religious beliefs of the Sunnis alone. Therefore, they tried to establish a strong link between the official religion of the society and the Shia religion, as well as the Sufi thoughts, which are often based on tolerance. This matter could have been formed around the axis of devotion and love for the Prophet's (PBUH) family and brought about social and cultural unity and reduced harmful religious prejudices and created more stability, security and prosperity in the society.
