Indonesia is the largest Muslim country, which was known as a country with solidarity until independence and the end of Dutch colonialism (1949-1945 AD) with convergence between different ethnic groups and religions. While with the establishment of sovereignty and then internal tyranny, the achievement of unity was led to divergence. The present article, which is organized in a descriptive-analytical method, by processing the relevant components and identifying the effective elements in the two fields of convergence and divergence in order to know the role-playing platforms, has confirmed that factors such as popular culture based on indigenous-Islamic teachings, the effective role of movements Nationalist reforms and some internal border government policies have had a positive effect on the expansion of convergence relations. Against, the areas of continuity, the presence of colonialism and the divergent policy of national tyranny, caused the break of the achievement of understanding. From this point of view, the convergence of Indonesian people had an increasing ratio before the independence period and after that, it decreased, and the divergence is estimated with a decreasing and then increasing trend.
